NATURAL MEN’S HEALTH: SUPPLEMENTS FOR A HEALTHY HEART - OMEGA 3 AND 6 OILS

I advise most of my male clients to take these wonder oils to reduce their risk of coronary heart disease. Omega 3 oil comes from cold-water fish such as salmon, cod, mackerel, tuna and sardines, and also from flaxseed oil. It is often referred to as high potency marine oil and it contains essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are found in high concentrations in the constitutions of Greenland Eskimos. The fact that these individuals have a very low incidence of ischaemic heart disease, despite consuming very high levels of animal fat, has been attributed to their consumption of these oils. They lower serum triglycerides and total cholesterol while increasing the good cholesterol HDL. Omega 6 oils are sourced from evening primrose oil and soy oil.

When buying capsules, the oils should be in a ratio of four to one: that is, four times more omega 6 oils than omega 3 in the capsule.
